Rules of Conduct

 

Rules are important for Internet Safety and FUN! In all our activities that include free writing where we may post your work, you must adhere to the following rules:

  1. Safety Comes First! Do NOT include any personal information. DO NOT include phone numbers, street addresses, town names (big cities are OK), last names, school names, email addresses, etc. In fact, you shouldn't use your real names either. Remember the NetName you gave to register to our sites? Here's your chance to use it again! Our monitors will NOT post your work if you give out personal information.
  2. Keep It Clean! No inappropriate language or topics are allowed. If you use nasty language or write about topics that our monitors feel are not suited to our users, your creation will not be posted. This includes but is not limited to abusive, hurtful, violent, sexist, and racist language or topics.
  3. Work that is posted on the Net is PUBLIC and anyone can see it! Don't include anything that you don't want people to see or know. Remember that other people can and will see your pages. Think about what you say and don't "diss" your friends or family if you don't want to deal with the results. Your creations should not be a forum for you to purposely hurt other people's feelings or to start fights.
  4. Not For Sale! Our creation activities are for you to express yourself and to have some fun. This is not the place for you to try and sell commercial merchandise or hype your company.
  5. Please don't preach! Please don't tell anyone how to BE or what to believe. Religious and personal freedom must be respected.
  6. English, please! We apologize to our non-native-English-speaking friends everywhere in the world. Since our monitors cannot be fluent in all languages, we have required that they at least know English. Please try to use only English so that the monitors can tell if you've followed the rules.

 

Web Mail Accepted Use Policy

As a GirlSense user, you must follow the Rules of Conduct. However, when you send mail, you interact with other people and networks and an even stricter set of rules applies. You are obligated to follow these rules when using KiddoMail or your GirlSense e-Mail account. If you fail to comply, we will close your account.

Netiquette

Use common sense when writing e-mails; do not abuse or harass people via email. Do not advertise using KiddoMail or your GirlSense e-Mail account.

KiddoMail and GirlSense e-Mail are NOT anonymous e-mail services

When using your Web Mail accounts, your IP address and chosen NetName are sent with each message. Together with the time the message was sent (which is also included), these details are enough, in most cases, to allow someone truly interested to locate you (he will need the cooperation of your ISP).

Beware! You are NOT anonymous when you send out mail!

GirlSense has a zero tolerance policy towards SPAM (unsolicited email messages)

SPAM, UCE, chain emails, mail bombing or any and all forms of unsolicited email messages of any kind are NOT welcome in GirlSense. We do not tolerate our members being the victims of unsolicited e-mail (a.k.a. "spam"). We are equally intolerant of our users who send junk e-mail. Sending junk email from a KiddoMail or GirlSense account, or using a KiddoMail or GirlSense account in a junk e-mail message can cause us to close the account.

If you receive any junk e-mail or e-mail that you feel does not stand up to the terms and policies stated herein or in our Privacy Policy, please forward one complete, unedited copy of the e-mail message with the full message headers to abuse@girlsense.com.
