Our mission is to provide a unique environment for tweens and teens, which gives them an on-line space that offers high quality content and web tools enabling them to create, play and communicate SAFELY. With that goal in mind, StarNet Interactive Ltd. presents GirlSense.com, and for our younger users, KiddoNet.com. More than anything else these days, tweens and teens want to use the Internet to connect and communicate with their friends. In support of this, GirlSense and KiddoNet have developed safe, user-friendly web tools that allow our users to communicate on-line with people they know. Together with this, we try to educate our users about the Netiquette of safe surfing, and continuously encourage them not to give personal information online. Legal Information GirlSense.com and KiddoNet.com are fully designed to comply with the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). However, this does not guarantee safety, nor does it guarantee the actual identities claimed by our guests. Furthermore, while we make every effort to encourage our users to practice safe surfing behavior, we do not guarantee that they will not voluntarily release personal information about themselves or about family members or friends. When this occurs in monitored activities, we prevent the posting of any personal information. However, when this occurs in activities that are not monitored, we cannot prevent the voluntary release of such information. It is extremely important that parents understand the features, uses, and potential risks of using the various activities on our site. Information We Collect StarNet Interactive, GirlSense and KiddoNet do not publish, share, trade, or sell users' personal information. At GirlSense and KiddoNet, we are happy to receive e-mail from our users with questions and comments, jokes, ideas for activities, and so on. If users do write to us, we will use the address they've given to respond on a one-time basis, and we will subsequently delete the received mail. GirlSense and KiddoNet do not condition a user's participation in any of our online activities on the disclosure of more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in the activity. Other information we collect: In keeping with COPPA's exceptions, users will be asked in certain activities to provide e-mail addresses to be used ONE TIME ONLY in reply to a specific request. For example, some of the activities allow members to send their creations to friends. Users are asked to provide their friends' e-mail addresses, which are used for immediate notification and are then deleted. Use of Information StarNet Interactive, GirlSense and KiddoNet do not publish, share, trade, or sell users' personal information. GirlSense and/or KiddoNet may disclose user information in an aggregated form (group statistics compiled from registration data that does not identify individual users) in order to describe its services to prospective partners, relevant third parties, and for other lawful purposes. In certain activities users will be offered opportunities to send their creations, or invitations to visit the site, to their friends. We will offer users the opportunity to have these creations sent from their own e-mail addresses to facilitate the delivery of these e-mails to their friends and reduce the number of e-mailings considered to be spam. GirlSense and KiddoNet offer many activities that allow users to send things they've created, such as fashion designs, drawings or electronic cards, to friends and relatives. We ask users to give only their FIRST NAMES and a recipients e-mail address for the sole purpose of sending out the card or creation. Optionally, in some activities the sender's address may also be requested, to facilitate delivery of these messages. These addresses are not stored or saved in any way and are used ONE TIME ONLY. If users do not specify a "sender's address", the creations will be sent out by default from creations@girlsense.com or creations@kiddonet.com. In addition, GirlSense and KiddoNet offer creative activities that include galleries where creations are posted, along with other activities that allow girls to post messages. We encourage all users who participate in these activities to follow our Rules Of Conduct. All of our posted activities are monitored to protect the privacy of our users and anyone they might be writing to/about and to ensure that the rules of conduct are followed. We at GirlSense and KiddoNet strongly urge our members not to give out personal information on their creations (such as Graffiti) or in their messages (such as in their fashion statements). Our monitors will not approve public postings that contain personal information. We also encourage parents to look at the things their children create on our site. Contests & Surveys Occasionally, GirlSense will run contests based on activities on our site. Sometimes we require users' personal contact information in order to send prizes by mail. This information will be limited to only what is needed in order to send out the prizes, and will not require that a user disclose more personal information than is necessary for this purpose. GirlSense and KiddoNet always clearly state that children under the age of 13 MUST get parental permission before providing personal information to us or to anyone on the Internet. All requests for personal contact information will be preceded by PRIOR parental consent submitted to us either by fax, mail or using a 1-800 number. Parental Access and Opting Out GirlSense and KiddoNet want to help parents be involved in their children's online experiences. At any time, parents can ask to review, change or delete their child's personal information from our database. We use such technologies as a Firewall, encryption and various other methods to ensure that it is extremely difficult to access the information in an unauthorized manner.
